Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the establishment and operational development of our Brazil subsidiary while coordinating business operations across Latin America. Reporting to the LATAM Commercial Leader, this role will collaborate closely with headquarters and external partners to establish operational infrastructure, ensure regulatory and business readiness, support commercial execution, and optimize supply chain and distributor operations. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong project management, stakeholder management, operational execution, and business partnering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Entity Setup & Operational Compliance
- Support the establishment and operational readiness of Genesis MedTech’s Brazil subsidiary.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, regulatory consultants, logistics providers, finance partners and headquarters to ensure timely entity setup and operational readiness.
- Support implementation of compliant operational processes in accordance with local regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Monitor changes in local business and regulatory requirements and coordinate implementation where appropriate.
2. Supply Chain & Business Operations
- Analyze customer demand and business requirements to support inventory planning and local warehousing strategy.
- Coordinate with headquarters, logistics providers, and distributors to optimize importation, warehousing, and distribution processes.
- Monitor inventory availability and order fulfillment to improve customer responsiveness.
- Support continuous improvement of operational workflows and business processes.
3. Cross-functional Project Management
- Serve as the primary operational liaison across headquarters, distributors, customers and external service providers.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities involving Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Quality, Customer Service, and Commercial teams.
- Support order management, after-sales coordination and operational issue resolution.
- Prepare business reports and provide operational insights to support commercial planning and decision-making.
4. Public Tender & Channel Operations
- Monitor public tender opportunities through market intelligence and commercial databases.
- Coordinate tender documentation and operational support for direct participation where applicable.
- Support distributors and key accounts in navigating public sector opportunities.
- Coordinate operational and financial activities supporting hybrid direct and distributor business models.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with distributors and external stakeholders to enable sustainable business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in operations, supply chain, project management, commercial operations, or related business functions.
- Experience within the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting legal entity setup, operational infrastructure development, or regional business expansion would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of distributor business models and cross-functional operations.
- Experience working with ERP systems and operational reporting.
- Strong project management skills with proven ability to coordinate stakeholders and collaborate across multiple functions and geographies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and business partnering skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- Fluent in Portuguese with professional working proficiency in English; Spanish and/or Mandarin Chinese language skills would be an advantage.
