Summary

  • Design end-to-end risk control frameworks for new products, markets, and client segments — onboarding, inbound and outbound transaction monitoring, limits, and review triggers.
  • Translate local regulatory requirements and market practice into proportionate controls
  • Produce clear, audit-ready documentation — control frameworks, risk assessments, verification frameworks, and policy.
  • Partner with commercial, compliance, operations, and HQ to land solutions and clear blockers.
  • Localise HQ frameworks to SEA / APAC market reality and own solutioning across live and new markets.

Core requirements

  • 7+ years in risk, compliance, or financial crime at a payments, fintech, or banking institution; cross-border experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep working knowledge of local market practice, documentation norms, and financial crime typologies in the region.
  • Strong risk solutioning — able to design proportionate controls, not only flag risk.
  • Excellent written documentation in clear English — frameworks, policy, and risk assessments.
  • Comfortable operating across commercial and compliance functions; pragmatic and business-enabling.
  • Compliance or financial crime background welcome.
